Vehicle crashes into store in Wildomar
A vehicle crashed through the front of a video store in Wildomar this afternoon, resulting in extensive damage to the building. The accident occured around 5:00 pm in the parking lot of the Lake Elsinore Video store at the intersection of Mission Trail and Bundy Canyon Road.
According to people who were in the area at the time of the accident, a 15 year old male juvenille was operating the vehicle and an adult was in the passenger seat. The juvenille appearently had just obtained his learner's permit. Witnesses said he may have mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
Fire fighters at the scene said no one was hurt in the accident. One witness said the video store had just closed for the day. He said the woman who works inside would have been standing right where the vehicle entered the structure if she had still been there. The unidentified woman, who works at the store, was in tears as she examined the damage.
The California Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.

I was very interested in your story as I own the Center. Thanks for doing this public service. One of my Tenants told me that the Highway Patrol Man would not do any accident report as he said it was on private property. I bet is someone had been shot a report would have been taken....
