Suspect at large after Lake Elsinore burglaries
One suspect is in custody and another is on the run after a pair of residential burglaries in Lake Elsinore on Thursday. According to Sergeant Ken Chaffin with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to the 16000 block of Sannelle St. at around 11:00 am after receiving a report that two men were burglarizing a home. The two men had already fled by the time deputies arrived, but Chaffin said the reporting party was able to provide a good physical description of the men and the vehicle they were driving.
Using evidence gathered at the scene and the description that was provided by witnesses, deputies identified the two suspects as 23 year old Tarrel Lamar Jackson of Los Angeles and 27 year old Brent Eugene Exley of Compton.
According to Chaffin, deputies received another report of a burglary in progress in the 30000 block of Illinois St. about 40 minutes after the first incident. They responded and located Jackson hiding in a back yard in the area. Exley was able to elude capture and is still at large. The Sheriff's Department is asking anyone with information about the burglaries or the whereabouts of Exley to call Sheriff's Investigator Luna at (951) 245-3300.
