Suspects at large after car-jacking incident in Murrieta
Two suspects are at large after an apparent car-jacking in Murrieta overnight. The incident occurred shortly before midnight along Antelope Road north of Clinton Keith Road.
According to Sgt. Markellus Reid with the Murrieta Police Department, the victim was driving his 2002 Mercedes Benz 430S northbound on Clinton Keith Road when a vehicle behind him began flashing it's high-beam headlights. The victim stopped his vehicle and the suspects pulled up on the driver side to inform him that he had a tail light burned out. When the victim exited his vehicle to inspect the tail light, one of the suspects approached the victim from behind and told the victim that he had a gun.
Reid says that the victim glanced over his shoulder at the suspect but complied with his demands and kept facing the opposite direction. After hearing both car doors close, the victim fled south on Antelope Road and was unharmed.
According to Reid, the suspects are described as a Hispanic or Black female with light skin and a Hispanic or Black male also with light skin. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark colored older model, possibly a Cadillac or similar make. The vehicle that was taken in the incident is a 2002 Mercedes Benz 430S with a California license plate of 5YWZ950. The color is unknown.
